Note: The MathsCraft program has shifted its focus to a new MathsCraft Curriculum, which has been carefully designed to augment the Australian Curriculum by providing the opportunity for students to engage with deep mathematical thinking. After the successful conclusion of the 2019 trial of the MathsCraft Curriculum, the aim for 2020 was to make the Curriculum widely available starting from Term 2, and to run more professional development events for teachers and promote the Curriculum. However, the effect of COVID-19 on schools and teachers meant that the launch of the Curriculum had to be postponed until 2021, and the cancellation of workshops and conferences also interfered with both the professional development plans and promotional efforts. Instead, work focussed on improving and adding to the materials and structure of the curriculum, and for 2021 it is to launch the Curriculum in Term 2 and run a series of professional development events throughout the year, the majority of which will be delivered virtually.
